T-Lane is an industry leader in transportation and logistics, with extended heavy haul capabilities. The ideal candidate for this position would have knowledge of open deck trailer capabilities as well as a proven book of business. This candidate would be responsible for sourcing freight and enhancing the T-Lane brand.
What we need you to do:
- Utilize book of business to establish relationships under the T-Lane brand
- Explore ways to brand T-Lane under current book of business
- Establish footprint in new markets /un-explored markets
- Bid and source procurement opportunities
- Understand current and future freight needs
- Negotiate rates will clients to get the best value possible
- Work alongside the dispatch department to ensure driver’s have minimal sitting time
What you’ll come with:
- A proven book of business
- An understanding of heavy equipment transport (excavator, bulldozer, etc) would be an asset
- A minimum of 3 years in the transportation industry
- A minimum of 2 years working with open deck trailers
- An ability to work closely with other departments to understand needs
- Rate negotiation skills and experience
